About Peter

Peter Doorten  -  Owner

Peter is a dynamic young man with many interests. He has an active faith life and is very involved with his church. He loves both high school, community and professional level sports, specifically the Oilers and the Blue Jays. He also enjoys music, golf, camping and sit-skiing. He enjoys volunteering with school fundraisers and golf tournaments and attending social events.

Peter was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 2 pounds, 3 ounces. His life journey has been an amazing and unique experience. He has had 12 surgeries in the past 30 years. He has some mobility challenges and a visual impairment, and a VP shunt. He feels blessed to say that God has preserved his life and truly guided him in his life, and in his Mr. Office journey.

Peter graduated from Parkland Immanuel Christian School in 2014.  He continued his education at MacEwan University, specializing in the business program. In April 2016 he graduated with a Certificate of Achievement in Business Management.

Peter is a hard worker who likes to get things done in a timely manner. He comes to work with a cheerful attitude, ready to benefit his clients. At the end of the day he wants to be satisfied that he has worked hard and that businesses have been served well, to God’s glory.

Support worker information:

Peter has cerebral palsy due to complications of his premature birth, and lives with limited vision, mobility and limited use of his left hand. Despite these challenges, he is a capable young man that consistently provides an excellent level of service and dedication to his clients. He loves his job, and it shows in his dedication with clients, his pursuit of new opportunities, and his willingness to overcome challenges.

There is a daily support worker that accompanies Peter to all of his clients, to assist with transportation, accessibility, and daily tasks. The support worker’s wages are paid for by government funding (with no cost to the client).
